The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the representative office of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) signed a Cooperation Agreement. On July 3, 2025, a meeting with representatives of the representative office of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) was held at the Center for Advanced Training of Medical Workers at the Department of Public Health and Healthcare Management. The meeting considered proposals for the implementation of joint programs for advanced training of healthcare system managers, which were analyzed within the framework of the project "Support for Healthcare Strategy in Uzbekistan", discussed in February, March, April and May of this year.

The discussion was attended by employees of the Department of Public Health and Healthcare Management: Professor D.A. Asadov, Associate Professors V.A. Khakimov and A.K. Khamraev, as well as representatives of GIZ: international expert - Ann Kristin Xanser, consultant on management of medical institutions - Fotima Mukhitdinova and national expert on health management - Ravshan Azimov.

The following issues were considered on the agenda of the meeting:

- implementation of a thematic advanced training course for 72 credits "Management of large multidisciplinary medical institutions" with the participation of international experts;

- implementation of a general advanced training course for 180 credits "Health care management and public health protection. Transformation of system financing" with the participation of international experts;

- participation of the German Society for International Cooperation in the international scientific and practical conference "Training, retraining and continuous professional education of professional managers in the health care system of the Republic of Uzbekistan", which will be held on October 17-18, 2025 in the city of Samarkand;

- holding a training seminar with the participation of international specialists on organizing a coordinated educational process for specialists in the field of "Healthcare Management and Public Health Protection" among partner organizations and state medical universities.

The partners made decisions on ensuring the implementation of each issue included in the agenda.
