The "School of Healthcare Managers-2026" special integrated thematic advanced training program has commenced

Pursuant to Order No. 376 of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 4 December 2025, "On Conducting the Special Integrated Thematic Advanced Training Cycle 'School of Healthcare Managers-2026'", a periodic special integrated advanced training course for leading personnel of regional healthcare management bodies is scheduled to take place from 5 January to 14 February 2026 at the Center for the Development of Professional Qualifications of Medical Workers, based on the Department of Public Health and Healthcare Management.

This thematic advanced training cycle, operated on a cost-recovery basis, is being conducted in an integrated format in collaboration with Westminster International University in Tashkent.

In accordance with the approved schedule, the first cycle commenced on 5 January 2026 under the chairmanship of A.A. Khudayarov, Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It brought together the Minister of Health of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, heads of regional healthcare departments, the Chief Health Department of Tashkent City, and heads of departments of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Committee.

The opening session began with an analysis of the implementation of priority tasks for the development of the healthcare system, as outlined in the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan on 26 December 2025.

As an innovative mechanism for the continuous professional education of leading personnel in regional healthcare management bodies, the cycle includes the following modules:

  • Healthcare management and structural transformation
  • Economics, financing, and accounting services
  • New financial mechanisms
  • Human resources and conflict management
  • Anti-corruption measures
  • Labour relations
  • Fundamentals of medical law
  • Primary healthcare services
  • Advanced international practices

Throughout the training, participants engage in analyses of topical issues, practical sessions at the Ministry of Health, study visits to republican specialized scientific-practical medical centres, analytical sessions with the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Healthcare Workers, classes at Westminster International University in Tashkent, and a cultural programme.

At the conclusion of each cycle, an analysis is conducted by the Minister of Health and deputy ministers. Participants' reports on their professional performance are reviewed, followed by remote testing, written examinations, and oral assessments.
