Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care in Pediatrics

In 1988 the Department was reorganized from the course Anesthesiology and resuscitation of childhood on the basis of the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation , which was headed by Associate Professor Mukhitdinova Khuri Nuritdinovna .

Since January 2021, the head of the department is Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Khamrayeva Gulchekhra Shakhobovna . In 1999 , under the guidance of MD. Mukhitdinova Kh.R. defended her thesis on the topic: "Clinical and biorhythmological features of the adaptation of children after operations on the organs of the chest cavity", 2022, under the guidance of MD, Professor Akilov Kh.A. And  Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Ibadov R.A. defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic: "Organization of resuscitation service and features of intensive care in case of mass admission of patients with COVID-19" . He is the WHO national coordinator. In 2021 she was awarded the medal " Kukrak nishoni", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In 1969, at the Institute for the Improvement of Doctors in Tashkent, the course "Anesthesiology and Resuscitation" was opened at the Department of Surgery - 2 under the guidance of Candidate of Medical Sciences Romanova Magdalena Alexandrovna. On the basis of the course in 1970, Professor Zarzar Aza Semyonovna created the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation. In 1987, a course of anesthesiology and resuscitation of childhood was organized at the department, which was headed by Associate Professor Mukhitdinova Khuri Nuritdinovna . Since 2011, the department has been renamed "Anesthesiology and Intensive Care in Pediatrics".

From May 2004 to January 202, the department was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Satvaldieva Elmira Abdusamatovna. The Association of Anesthesiologists-Resuscitators of the Republic was created, chaired by Professor Sabirov D.M. (Deputy for childhood, Professor Satvaldieva E.A.). Professor of the Department Satvaldieva E.A. is a member of the scientific committee and lecturer of the training course - the European Education Foundation for Anesthesiologists (C.E.E.A.). Under the scientific guidance of Professor E.A. Satvaldiyeva, 2 dissertations for the candidate of medical sciences were prepared and successfully defended.

At different times, wonderful people worked fruitfully at our department - scientists, professors, teachers - Professor Krylov V.I., Professor Akalaev R.N., associate professor Muslimova M.S., assistants Ablakulova R.A., Abdusalieva T.M., Rasuleva N.R., Stopnitsky A.A.

 

At the present stage, the department is staffed by a team of teachers, where highly qualified employees work effectively, actively supporting all innovations and implementations:

The staff of the department provides significant scientific and methodological assistance to practical health care. By order of the leadership of the CRPCMR, together with clinical residents, they were sent to the Zangiata -2 clinic to provide practical assistance.

Anesthesiological support, optimization of intensive care for critical conditions of pediatric patients corresponds to and is part of the scientific direction of the Center for the Development of Professional Qualifications of Medical Workers under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan "Development of effective methods of anesthesia, intensive care and postoperative pain relief in children", "Study of clinical and pathogenetic aspects of adaptation of children in conditions of surgical stress and methods of correction of dysadaptive conditions”. The teaching staff of the department on the basis of a prospective and retrospective analysis of clinical material on the basis of the Republican Research Centre
Of Emergency Medicine
performs research work on Anesthesiological support, optimization of intensive care for critical conditions of pediatric patients.

" Balanced" methods of anesthesia in combination with a caudal epidural block in children during operations on the lumbosacral segments have been developed and introduced into practical healthcare. Methods of preventive multimodal analgesia in children based on NSAIDs and ketamine have been introduced . Non-invasive non- drug methods of postoperative pain relief have been developed and implemented : percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation , paravertebral electroanalgesia , DENS - therapy. The department is actively working on issues of invasive and non-invasive IVL, nutritional support in critical conditions, problems of antibiotic resistance of microorganisms, nosocomial infection, protocols for managing patients with emergency conditions.

More than 500 articles, 5 monographs, 35 guidelines, 7 copyright certificates have been published. Prepared 12 candidates of medical sciences, 6 doctors of medical sciences. Being a professor of the department, Krylov V.I. prepared during 1996 - 2004 8 candidates, 4 doctors of medical sciences, published two monographs.

More than 200 doctors are trained at the department annually. In the process of teaching, modern pedagogical technologies are used. Much attention is paid to the independent work of doctors - cadets with literature, training is provided to work on the Internet.

Non-invasive ventilation protocols, nutritional support protocols in critical conditions, methods of balanced anesthesia using a caudal epidural block, methods of prolonged conduction blockade for injuries of the upper limb in children, non-invasive methods of reflexotherapy in the postoperative period, protocols for managing patients have been introduced into the educational process and into the system of emergency medicine. with severe TBI, methods of preventive multimodal analgesia based on NSAIDs and ketamine . Various ways to optimize postoperative pain relief in children have been developed. High-tech methods of inhalation anesthesia have been introduced - low-flow and low-flow inhalation anesthesia based on new vapor-forming inhalation anesthetics: enflurane, isoflurane, sevoflurane .

In 1999, 2003, 2009, 2016, the department actively participated in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th congresses of anesthesiologists-resuscitators of Uzbekistan, 1st international conference of pediatric anesthesiologists and resuscitators (2018), 1st congress of pediatric surgeons and anesthesiologists (2011), 1st and 2 congresses of emergency physicians (2009, 2011).

 Currently, the department is an active participant in international intensive care programs in the countries of Central Asia. The department cooperates with the World Health Organization. Employees of the department actively participate in international conferences. Head of the Department Khamrayeva G.Sh. is a member of the scientific committee and a lecturer at Virtual event of the World Anesthesiology and Critical Care Conference (2021 and 2022). Written in co-authorship with WHO: in 2018 National guidelines on intensive care of patients with SARI (in Russian, Uzbek and English), National guidelines on COVID -19, 2 6 .0 3 .202 0 , educational and methodological manual - Block -module training on clinical and epidemiological aspects of COVID -19, 2020 (in Russian, Uzbek and English).

The educational and methodological work of the department includes the conduct of planned cycles of specialization and improvement of doctors, the training of clinical residents and applicants. The department has developed new training programs in pediatric anesthesiology and resuscitation, anesthesia, resuscitation and intensive care of newborns and young children, inpatient management of patients infected with coronavirus infection. To date, the teaching staff consists of highly qualified specialists with great creative potential, efficient workers, actively supporting innovations, continuously improving their professional level in cooperation with foreign colleagues.
