Modern Approaches in Gerontology and Geriatrics: International Forum in Namangan

On November 20 of this year, an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the health of elderly people and improving their quality of life, titled “Improving Quality of Life: Current Issues in Gerontology and Geriatrics”, was held in the city of Namangan. The event was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and relevant medical education and professional development institutions.

The main purpose of the conference was to introduce modern approaches to preventing, early detecting, and treating diseases that are widespread among the elderly. In addition, the participants discussed the development of scientific research in the field of gerontology and geriatrics, as well as strengthening the integration of science and practice.

The event was attended by representatives of research institutes and medical institutions from several foreign countries, as well as professors, physicians, and practicing specialists. They presented advanced practices, new technologies, and effective methods for working with elderly patients used in their respective countries.

Experts emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach when working with elderly individuals, including the integration of medical, psychological, social, and rehabilitation support.

The conference served as an important platform for improving the qualifications of medical professionals, discussing new scientific ideas, and strengthening international cooperation. During the event, participants also reviewed prospects for future joint projects, scientific research, and educational programs.

The international conference held in Namangan has given a strong impetus to improving the health and quality of life of elderly citizens and to the development of gerontology and geriatrics. The event further strengthened the integration of science and practice, creating broad opportunities for new ideas and solutions.
