On May 15, 2026, in Tashkent, a Competition of Young Scientists will be held on the topic:
“THE HEALTH OF THE NATION IS IN THE HANDS OF YOUTH”

Historically, in the Republic of Uzbekistan, great importance has been attached to protecting public health, including the early diagnosis, detection, and treatment of various pathologies associated with possible disability and mortality among the population. Of particular relevance is the issue of a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis of various diseases, as well as the need for an integrated approach to solving public health problems as a whole. In addition, an integrated approach to addressing children’s health issues is of great importance and will undoubtedly yield positive results.

By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 28, 2022, No. UP-60 “On the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022–2026,” tasks were defined to improve the system of providing high-tech medical care to the population, equip healthcare institutions with the necessary medical equipment and technology, and staff them with qualified personnel.

Today, one of the priority areas is the creation of an effective system for the training and continuous education of medical personnel focused on family medicine.

An important aspect of modern healthcare is the involvement of young professionals with high intellectual potential — young people who will represent the healthcare system of the future, possessing skills in information technology and digitalization, as well as proficiency in foreign languages.

The training and professional development of specialists are carried out by the Center for the Development of Professional Qualifications of Medical Workers (CDPQMW), which actively implements modern educational programs, teaching methods, and technologies in accordance with international standards. The Center utilizes educational simulation and training centers in the learning process and cooperates with international organizations and institutes of leading foreign clinics.

On May 15, 2026, the CDPQMW will hold a Conference of Young Scientists of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The conference format includes presentations by doctoral candidates, researchers, and clinical residents prepared to present the results of their clinical studies. The results of the competition will be determined by a commission composed of the Center’s leading scientists. Following the selection process, nominees will be announced and commemorative prizes awarded.
