Department of Dermatovenerology and Cosmetology

        

About the Department:

Soon after the organization of the Tashkent Institute of Skin and Venereal Diseases (now the Center for the Development of Professional Qualification of Medical Workers), in 1932, an associate professor course in dermatovenerology was established for the advanced training of doctors at the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases of the Tashkent Medical Institute. At the end of 1932, this course was transformed into the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases of the Tashkent Institute for Advanced Training of Doctors on the basis of the Uzbek Scientific Research Dermatovenerologic Institute.

 

 

The first head of the department was Ph.D. honey. Doctor of Science, Honored Scientist of the Uzbek SSR, Professor Anatoly Ioasafovich Kartamyshev is a representative of the Kiev  school of dermatovenerologists. He was born in 1897 in Rostov-on-Don in the family of a veterinarian. In 1915 he graduated from the Voronezh Gymnasium, in 1919 from the Military Medical Academy in Leningrad. From 1920 to 1926 he worked in skin clinics in Lithuania, Czechoslovakia, Kiev. Of particular importance to him was his work at the Prague Kreibich Clinic and the Kiev Clinic.  where he wrote and defended his doctoral dissertation. In 1930 he was elected head of the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases of the Tashkent Medical Institute, and in 1932 he simultaneously headed the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases of the Tashkent Institute of Skin and Venereal Diseases. Kartamyshev is the author of more than 150 scientific works, including more than 20 monographs and 2 textbooks. Thousands of doctors improved their skills by listening to lectures and attending his rounds. A. I. Kartamyshev's research in the field of suggestive therapy of dermatoses and blistering dermatoses has earned him fame outside our country. He, together with G.B. Belenky, was the first in the USSR to supply RIT. Under the guidance of A. I. Kartamyshev, 13 doctoral and 44 candidate dissertations were defended.

His students headed the departments of skin and venereal diseases in Kiev, Dushanbe, Tashkent, Dnepropetrovsk, Vitebsk, Riga, Orenburg and other cities.  Anatoly Ioasafovich was fluent in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Ukrainian and Lithuanian. During the war and post-war years, A. I. Kartamyshev headed the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases at the Ufa and Kiev Medical Institutes.

From 1933 to 1938 the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases was headed by Associate Professor G.I. Umansky. Prior to his election to this position, under the guidance of A. I. Kartamyshev, he worked as a supernumerary assistant at the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases of the Tashkent Medical Institute, where he received the title of associate professor. At the Department of Dermatovenerology of the Tashkent Institute of Veterinary Medicine, under his leadership, the first training programs were created for the improvement of dermatovenerologists on the most pressing problems of dermatology and venereology, taking into account the environmental situation of the area and the epidemiological situation. In the 30s In the years  of the XX century, the teaching staff of the  department, together with the staff of the Uzbek Research Institute of Dermatology and Venereology, carried out active work in the regions, cities and districts of the republic, annually sent expeditionary teams to the most remote regions to combat fungal and venereal diseases. The monograph by G.I. Umansky presents histopathological studies of the skin in young children.

Since 1938, the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases has been headed by Professor A.S. Zelmanovich (1891–1956). He was the first assistant of the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases of the Tashkent Medical Institute, worked under the guidance of such prominent scientists and practitioners in dermatovenerology as I.S. Milman, A.I. Kartamyshev and others. The staff of the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases under the leadership of Prof. A.S. Zelmanovich improved the educational process,  by developing thematic and cyclical programs, as well as programs for specialization in the field of dermatovenerology. In those years, A.S. Zelmanovich simultaneously worked as Deputy Director for Scientific Work at the Uzbek Research Institute of Dermatology and Venereology. The teaching staff of the department, together with the staff of this institute, conducted a number of scientific studies in the field of syphilidology. They studied metabolic processes in experimental animals, the peculiarities of the course of syphilis in a hot climate, the etiopathogenetic mechanisms of the development of pyoderma in fungal diseases and proposed original methods of treatment; A great deal of scientific work has been carried out on the problems of occupational skin diseases at industrial enterprises and in agriculture. The monograph (1948) of A.S. Zelmanovich is devoted to the clinical and experimental study of kidney damage by the drug "Bismuth". A.S. Zelmanovich worked as the head of the department until 1952.

From 1952 to 1953, the Department of Dermatology and Venereology of the Tashkent Institute of Veterinary Medicine was headed by Vladimir Isidorovich Feldman. V. I. Feldman paid great attention to the diagnosis and treatment of acquired and congenital syphilis, chancre, the role of trauma in the occurrence of pyoderma, microbial eczema, streptococci in skin pathology. He is the author of more than 40 scientific papers on the main issues of dermatology and venereology, monographs and textbooks ("Early congenital syphilis",  "Treatment of Skin and Venereal Diseases"), he described in detail such rare dermatoses as Randu Osler-Weber disease, Norwegian scabies, etc.

 

 

 

In 1953, Doctor of Medicine, Sciences, Professor Isidor Abramovich Telishevsky was elected as the head of the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases of the Tashkent Institute of Venereal Medicine. He was born in 1910 in Tashkent, graduated from the Tashkent Medical Institute in 1933, entered postgraduate studies at the Department of Dermatovenerology, and then worked as a junior researcher at the Uzbek Research Institute of Dermatology and Venereology. From 1941 to 1947 I.A. Telishevsky headed this institute. At the department He worked as an assistant, associate professor, and since 1953 he has been the head of the department. Professor I. A. Telishevsky is the author of about 100 scientific papers, including monographs, textbooks, clinical, clinical, experimental, organizational and methodological works. Under his leadership, 12 candidates of medical sciences were trained. The reference book (atlas) published by I.A. Telishevsky and V.V. Shuvalov includes a description of the clinic, etiology, pathogenesis, prevention and treatment of most of the most common and rare skin diseases. Special sections of the handbook contain data on dermatoses observed in wartime and skin lesions possible in special conditions.  Qualified specialists took part in the work on these sections. The handbook is richly illustrated, which makes it possible for both general practitioners and dermatologists to get acquainted in detail with the clinical picture of dermatoses. From 1950 to 1963, I.A. Telishevsky studied balneotherapy of dermatoses with mineral waters of the Chartak resort. He and his students conducted clinical, experimental and functional studies. For many years of fruitful pedagogical activity and merits in the development of medical science, I.A. Teleshevsky was awarded the honorary title "Honored Scientist of the Uzbek SSR". 

 

 

 

In 1976, the head of the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases was elected Ph.D. honey. Doctor of Medicine, Associate Professor Hamidulla Khusanovich Khusanov. He was born on April 14, 1919 in Tashkent. In 1940 he graduated from the Tashkent State Medical Institute. From 1940 to 1941 he worked as a pediatrician and chief physician of the children's polyclinic No. 7 in Tashkent. From 1941 to 1945 he participated in World War II. From 1946 to 1947 he worked as the chief physician of the Clinical Hospital No. 7.  From 1947 to 1950 he studied at the clinical residency at the Uzbek Research Institute of Dermatology and Venereology, from 1950 to 1953 he was a researcher at this institute. From 1953 to 1961 he worked as an assistant, and from 1961 as an associate professor at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology of the Tashkent Institute of Veterinary Medicine. In 1958 he defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic "Histological changes of skin syphilis in syphilis patients treated with ecmonovacillin". From 1966 to 1979 he worked as the rector of the Tashkent Institute for Advanced Training of Doctors and at the same time as an associate professor of the department. He is the author of about 100 scientific papers, including 7 monographs, he is the author of the first and only monograph on cosmetology in Uzbekistan. He is an active participant in various scientific forums, symposia, conferences, congresses. Kh.Kh. Khusanov was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War II degree, the Order of the Red Star, the Badge of Honor, the medals "For the Defense of Stalingrad", "For the Capture of Budapest", "For the Liberation of Prague", "For the Victory over Germany", "For Labor Distinction", certificates of honor of the Supreme Soviet of the Uzbek SSR.

 

 

From 1977 to 1988, the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases was headed by Professor Abdulkhay Abdullayev. He was born on May 4, 1921 in Tashkent. In 1937 he entered the Tashkent State Medical Institute. After graduating from the institute, Abdulkhay Khojaevich's labor and military biography began: on August 23, 1942, three days after receiving his medical diploma, he and his comrades voluntarily went to the front. As part of the active army, he participated in the battles for liberation

Poland, during the crossing of the Oder River and the capture of Berlin, for which he was awarded the medals "For Military Merit", "For the Liberation of Warsaw", "For the Capture of Berlin" and other awards. From 1946 to 1952, Abdullaev A.Kh. worked as a resident doctor, head of the department, then deputy chief physician of the city hospital No. 7, and in 1952 he was enrolled in the position of junior researcher at the Uzbek Research Dermatovenerologic Institute. Abdullaev A.Kh. carried out in-depth research work on topical issues of dermatovenerology. Especially original are his scientific works devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the course of syphilis, without arsenic treatment of syphilis with ecmonovacillin and bicillin, as well as without ointment therapy of some common skin diseases - psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, etc. His Ph.D. (1959) and doctoral (1975) dissertations are devoted to the study of epidemiology, pathogenesis, immunology, clinic, methods of diagnosis and treatment of syphilis.  From 1959 to 1976 Abdulkhay Khodjayevich was the head of the venereological department, from 1964 to 1968 he was the deputy director for science of the Uzbek Research Institute of Dermatology and Venereology, since 1976 he worked as an associate professor, and since January 1978 he was the head of the Department of Dermatovenerology of the Tashkent Institute of Venereology. Under his leadership, more than 40 clinical residents, 7 candidates of medical sciences have been trained, he is the author of more than 100 scientific articles published in foreign and domestic press, dozens of popular science brochures, methodological recommendations on topical issues of dermatovenerology, as well as translations of articles and textbooks into Uzbek. Abdulkhay Khodjayevich carried out a lot of scientific and social work. For many years, he was the secretary of the Tashkent and Republican Scientific Society of Dermatovenerologists, a member of the board of the Republican Scientific Society of Dermatovenerologists, a member of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Internal Medicine of the Tashkent Institute of Veterinary Medicine, a member of the editorial board of the journal "Bulletin of Dermatology and Venereology". A.Kh. Abdullaev has repeatedly represented Uzbek dermatological science at the republican and All-Union congresses of dermatologists of Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. The government highly appreciated the merits of Abdulhay Khodjayevich: he was awarded many awards, the medal "For Valiant Labor", the Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Supreme Council, the badge "Excellence in Healthcare".

 

 

From 1989 to 1993 the Department was headed by Khudaiberdiev Nigmat Ahmedovich. He was born in 1940 and graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Tashkent Medical Institute in 1969. In 1975 he defended his Ph.D. dissertation, in 1990 — his doctoral dissertation. His scientific works are devoted to the pathogenesis, clinical course and treatment of syphilis, as well as the role of sexually transmitted infections in the formation of infertility. He organized the Department of Andrology - Gynecology and the private clinic "SoLomAvlod Uchun" for the provision of medical treatment.agnostic and prophylactic care for patients with reproductive disorders caused by sexually transmitted infections. He is the author of a large number of scientific articles. His students work in various medical institutions of our country.

 

 

From 1993 to 1994 the Department was headed by Cand. honey. Doctor of Science, Associate Professor Abid Salikhovich Salikhov. He was born on March 8, 1927 in Tashkent. After graduating from the Medical Institute, from 1948 to 1950 he worked as the head of the Biy-Bazar SVU, from 1950 to 1953 - the chief physician of the Republican Dermatovenerologic Dispensary of the Ministry of Health of the Karakalpak Autonomous Republic, from 1953 to 1957 - a resident of the Uzbek Research Dermatovenerologic Institute. In the 1950s, Associate Professor Salikhov devoted a number of his scientific works to the issues of combating occupational dermatoses.  having studied pustular skin diseases common among cotton growers. From 1957 to 1960 he was a postgraduate student at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology of the Tashkent Institute of Veterinary Medicine with a secondment to the Moscow Central Institute of Higher Education. After completing his postgraduate studies in 1960, he was elected to the position of assistant at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology of the Tashkent Institute of Veterinary Medicine. In 1961, he successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis "Materials for the Characteristics of the Functional State of the Adrenal Cortex in Patients with Psoriasis", proving that in patients with a severe form of psoriasis, the reserve capabilities of the adrenal cortex are sharply inhibited. In 1968, A.S. Salikhov was elected to the position of Associate Professor of the Department of Dermatology and Venereology of the Tashkent Institute of Higher Education, where he worked until 2000. He was awarded the badge "Excellence in Healthcare", as well as a number of certificates of honor from the regions of the republic.

 

 

From 1994 to 1998 the Department was headed by Cand. honey. Doctor of Science, Associate Professor Dzhavlon Rakhimberdievich Karimberdiev. He was born on August 21, 1951 in Tashkent. In 1974 he graduated from the Tashkent State Medical Institute. From 1974 to 1976 he worked as a doctor, then as the head of the department of the clinic of the Uzbek Research Institute of Dermatology and Venereology. From 1976 to 1979 he was a senior laboratory assistant, in 1979 he was an assistant, and from 1994 to the present he has been an associate professor of the Department of Dermatology and Venereology. In 1990 he defended his Ph.D. dissertation "Ultrastructural skin changes in lupus erythematosus." Under his leadership, more than 100 clinical residents were trained, who work in various medical and preventive institutions not only in our republic, but also in the CIS countries. Author of about 60 scientific articles, including 1 monograph, 4 methodological recommendations; Member of the Republican and City Society of Dermatovenerologists. He has repeatedly participated in international congresses abroad, at congresses of dermatovenerologists of Uzbekistan. The results of his scientific research are applied in the educational process of advanced training of doctors in practical health care (in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of collagen diseases, rare dermatoses, etc.).

Usmonov Tokhta Usmonovich worked as an assistant of the department from 1971 to 2008. In 1971 he defended his Ph.D. thesis in the specialty "Skin and Venereal Diseases". He conducted scientific research in the field of venereology, in particular, the monograph describes in detail the epidemiology and historical aspects of the development and syphilis in Uzbekistan. T.U. Usmonov repeatedly traveled to the regions of the Republic to improve the qualifications of doctors and consulted dermatovenereological patients.

His students work in various regions of the Republic and the CIS countries.

Postgraduate student of the department Kilychev R.M. In his Ph.D. dissertation "Materials for the Characteristics of the Modern Clinical Course of Syphilis and the State of the Nervous System in Patients with Its Contagious Forms" he presented data on the clinical course of syphilis in the past and present.        Postgraduate student of the department  Khamidov Shavvaz Akhmedovich in his Ph.D. thesis "Materials for the study of therapy of patients with contagious forms of syphilis with bicillin-5" (clinical and laboratory studies) presented the results of observation of patients with syphilis treated with bicillin-5.Over the years, such experienced employees as associate professor Khidirov Kh.N., assistants Ilyasov B.I., Mirsaatov M.U., Aliyeva S.G., Desyatchikova A.V., Alimov Kh.A., Abidova Z.M. worked at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology.  Nasretdinov I., senior laboratory assistants Abdumalikov R., Kuchkarov U., Nabiev T.A., Kazakbaev F.

 

 

From 1998 to the present, the department has been headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Arifov Saidkasim Saidazimovich. Arifov S.S. was born in 1961 in Tashkent in the family of a civil servant. In 1984, after graduating from the Research Institute of Dermatology and Venereology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, he completed a clinical residency in dermatovenerology, then from 1986 to 1988 he worked as a junior researcher at the experimental laboratory and the Department of Dermatology. In 1988, he completed his postgraduate studies at the Central Institute of Dermatology and Venereology (Moscow). In 1991, he defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic "Improving the therapy of patients with lichen erythema Taking into account the state of lipid peroxidation." In 1991-1994, he worked at the Research Institute of Dermatovenerology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan as the head of the Department of Dermatology and the head of the Department of Dermatology. In 1994, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "The role of individual characteristics of the body in the clinical course, pathogenesis of vitiligo and the development of a complex method of treatment". From 1999 to 2012, S.S. Arifov worked as Deputy Director for Science of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Dermatovenerology.

 

 

He constantly trains doctors of the republic at the department and field cycles, provides practical assistance to the health authorities on the organization, prevention and treatment of skin and venereal diseases.

Arifov S.S. has published more than 500 scientific articles, including 25 monographs, 9 patents and information letters, 50 methodological guidelines and recommendations. For the first time, he published the textbook "Teri va tanosil kasalliklari" (2007) and the manual-textbook for dermatovenerologists " Teri va tanosil kasalliklari" (2010) in the Uzbek language for students of medical institutes. In 2008, he prepared and published the atlas "Clinical Dermatology and Venereology" (2008). His monographs and textbooks are a reference book for dermatovenerologists and cosmetologists in our Republic and the CIS countries.

Under theleadership of S.S. Arifov, 18 candidates of medical sciences and 8 doctoral dissertations were prepared.  He has led and successfully completed a number of national and foreign scientific grants (SCST, WHO, UNDP and Oliy Majlis).

 

 

Arifov S.S. is a member of the European Association of Dermatovenerologists, the Society of Dermatovenereologists and Cosmetologists of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Dermatovenereologists and Cosmetologists of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Society of Dermatovenereologists and Cosmetologists of Tashkent and Tashkent region. He is a member of the editorial boards and editorial boards of a number of domestic and foreign journals on dermatovenerology and cosmetology. For services to the Fatherland By the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2007, S.S. Arifov was awarded the title of "Honored Health Care Worker".

From 2002 to the present, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Abdurashidov Abdukodir Abduxamidov has been working at the café. Abdurashidov A.A. was born in 1973 in the family of an employee.  In 1996 he graduated from the First Tashkent State Medical Institute. He is a doctor of dermatovenerologist and medical cosmetologist in thefollowing category and is a specialist in laser therapy in dermatocosmetology.  

 

 

In 2006 he defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic: "Pathogenetic validity of treatment of patients with eczema taking into account endogenous intoxication". Working at the department, Abdurashidov A.A. was formed as an experienced teacher, a professional specialist, actively participates in the educational, scientific and social life of the department and the center. Abdurashidov A.A. is responsiblefor the educational process of the department.

He constantly travels to the regions to improve the qualifications of doctors, conducts seminars, master classes and advises patients, provides assistance to health authorities.

He actively participates in the implementation of republican and foreign scientific and educational grants and makes reports at republican and international congresses and conferences. He is the author of more than 60 scientific publications, including 3 monographs, 3 methodological recommendations, 4 textbooks and 4 rationalization proposals. In 2020, he was awarded the Mehr-Sakhovat badge for his active participation in the fight against COVID-19.

 

 

From 200 7 to the present, Ph.D., assistant Shakhnoza Tursunovna Ganieva has been working at the department. She was born in 1974 in Tashkent in the family of a minister.In  1997 Ganieva Sh.T. graduated from  the II Tashkent State Medical Institute. In 2004 she defended her Ph.D. thesis on the topic: "Study of the functional state of the stomach by various forms of syphilis and correction in therapy" under the supervision of Professor Yuldashev K.A. The first monograph was written with the participation of the scientific supervisor in 2010 "Gastric syphilis".  Since 2007, working at the department, she has introduced 79 clinical residents. Working at the department, Ganieva Sh.T. was formed as an experienced teacher, professional specialist, actively participates in the educational, scientific and social life of the department and the center. She is responsiblefor clinical residents and "Manaviyat-marifat" At the department, she created a room "Manavit-marifat". He actively participates in reports at republican and international congresses and conferences. Participates in the implementation of republican and foreign scientific and educational grants. She is the author of more than 40 scientific publications, including 2 monographs, 2 methodological recommendations and 3 textbooks.

Ganieva Sh.T. constantly consults patients with skin and venereal diseases at the clinical base of the department. She is a doctor andmedical cosmetologist inthe following category.

 

 

From 2015 to the present, Khodjaeva Mukhlisa Bakhodirovna has been working as an assistant at the department.She  was born in 1975 in the family of a minister in Tashkent. She graduated from  the First Tashkent State Medical Institute  in a year.

At the same time, Khodjaeva M.B.is a researcher at the Republican Center of Dermatovenerology and Cosmetology and conducts scientific work for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences, on the topic: "The pathogenetic role of androgen receptor coregulators in acne and the development of differentiated therapy of the disease".  She is a participant of grants and scientific work carried out at the RSNPMCDV.                    Working at the department, assistant Khodjaeva M.B. as a dermatovenereologist and dermatocosmetologist became an experienced teacher. As a professional specialist, she actively participates in the educational, scientific and social life of the department and the center. She is a specialist in laser therapy in cosmetology. Khodjaeva actively participates with reports in scientific conferences, in international congresses on dermatology and aesthetic medicine. Leading trainer of the official representative office of the Israeli professional cosmetic line "HOLY LAND" in Uzbekistan. He is a trainer of the pharmaceutical company "IPSEN" on the use and training of the use of Dysport based on botulinum toxin. At the department, he has been responsible for training and advanced training of dermatologists in the course of medical cosmetology since 2011. Khodjaeva M.B. is the author of more than 20 scientific papers,1 methodical recommendation, co-author of 2 textbooks.

 

 

Associate Professor Karimberdiyev Javlon Rakhimberdievich has been working at  the department since 1976 to the present He was born in 1951 in Tashkent in the family of an employee.  In 1974 he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Tashkent State Medical Institute. From 1974 to 1975 he worked as an intern at the Research Institute of Dermatovenerology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, from 1975 to 1976 he worked as a resident, head of the department.

Since October 1976, he worked as a senior laboratory assistant, assistant, associate professor of the Department of Dermatovenerology of the Tashkent Institute for Advanced Training of Doctors. Karimberdiev D.R. defended his dissertation on the topic "Ultrastructural changes of the skin in lupus erythematosus" in 1990.

He  gives lectures and conducts practical classes at a high level at the department. It assists in practical healthcare and helps patients achieve good results in the diagnosis and treatment of skin and venereal diseases.

         Karimberdiev D.R. is the author of more than 50 scientific works and 1 monograph published in the republic and abroad. He improved his skills in dermatovenerology clinics in Moscow and participated in several international congresses (Portugal in 1996, France in 2000, Switzerland in 2002, France in 2008, Berlin in 2009, Gothenburg in 2010, Seoul in 2011, Athens in 2013). He is also the organizer and participant of international and national scientific conferences held in the country.

        Pedagogic activity of Assoc. Prof. Karimberdieva D.R.  It is not limited to cadets of the department, but also actively participates in international trainings for general practitioners in the health care system of the regions of the republic.

 

 

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Azimova Fotima Vakhidovna has been working at the department since 2018. Azimova F.V. was born in Tashkent in the family of a servant. In  1993 she graduated with honors from Tashkent State Medical Institute. He  has been working at the department since 2018. In 2008, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of  Medical Sciences on the topic "Development of a complex method for the treatment of alopecia, taking into account the intestinal microbiocenosis,  thyroid status and trace element status". In 2018, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences (dsc) "Development of new methods for the diagnosis and therapy of non-cicatricial forms of alopecia based on the study of molecular genetic factors".

Azimova F.V., as a highly qualified specialist dermatovenereologist, dermatocosmetologist, trichologist, lectures at the department and  advises and provides medical and consultative assistance to patients in the RSNPMCDViK.

Since 2012, F.V. Azimova has been the head of research projects, the author of more than 150 scientific papers (articles, theses, monographs, methodological recommendations). 4 students are being prepared for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences.

Since 2012, he has been the Executive Director of the Association of Dermatovenerologists of Uzbekistan. Since 2015, he has been an expert of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan on perfumery and cosmetic products. Since 2019, he has been a Member of the Board from Uzbekistan in the European-Asian Association of Trichologists. He is also a member of the International League of the Society of Dermatologists, the American Society of Dermatologists, and the Russian Society of Trichologists.

He is a member of the editorial board of the scientific and practical journal "Dermatovenereology and Aesthetic Medicine". He actively participates in domestic and international congresses and presents scientific achievements in the form of reports, both oral and poster.

At the department, at the present time, scientific work is carried out by one basic ( PhD)  doctoral student (Erkinlar Z.E.) and one doctoral student (Ph.D. Malikova N.N.).

The department actively participates in scientific conferences, Councils of Scientists, in public life ("salomatlik kuni", "marifat-manaviyat kuni", "health examinations" - assistance to health authorities, etc.) organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan Equipping the clinical bases of the department with modern and highly informative equipment allows students and clinical residents to master the dermatovenerological and cosmetological discipline at a fairly good level. On the initiative of the head of the department, a SWOT analysis of the therapeutic and diagnostic process was introduced. At each lesson, a SWOT analysis is carried out to assimilate the material, especially therapeutic drugs and techniques. For better assimilation of the material covered, in the departments of the clinic of the Center for Dermatovenerology and Cosmetology, professorial rounds with clinical analysis of patients are systematically carried out.
