DAMIN ABDURAKHIMOVICH ASADOV

      Asadov Damin Abdurahimovich, born in 1940, Uzbek, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Public Health, Health Care Management of the Tashkent Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education.

            DA Asadov graduated from the Tashkent State Medical Institute in 1963 and began his career in the outpatient clinic of Golodnostepstroy. From 1965 to 1968 he worked as a graduate student in Leningrad, from 1968 to 1970 as a researcher at the Institute of Plant Chemistry, from 1970 to 1976 as a department head at the Regional Research Institute of Medicine. From 1976 to 1979, DA Asadov worked as a consultant in the Ministry of Health of Kano State of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and at the same time as a chief consultant of the hospital named after Murtala Muhammad. 1979-1981 DAAsadov Head of the Department of Health of Angren city, 1981-1982 Head of the Main Department of Treatment and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 1982-1989 Minister of Health From 1989 to 1997 he was the Director of the Research Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology, from 1997 to 1998 he was the Rector of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, from 1998 to 2003 he was the First Deputy Minister of Health. From 2003 to present, he is the head of the department "Organization, financing and management of health care" at the Tashkent Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education.

            D.A. Special mention should be made of Asadov's organizational work in the healthcare system of the Republic of Uzbekistan. When he was the head of the Angren city medical system, he achieved great success due to the application of progressive methods in the management of treatment-and-prophylaxis facilities and effective contacts established with local authorities. The city of Angren was recognized by the Ministry of Health of the former USSR as a city where effective and quality medical care was organized for the population.

            In 1989, when DA Asadov was appointed head of the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology, this medical institution was in a very bad state. But in a short period of time, its human and material and technical potential was strengthened and it became the most advanced medical facility with modern technologies.

            DA Asadov served as rector of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute for two years, during which time the potential work provided the future development of the university.

            In 1998, DA Asadov was appointed First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the second time. The main task assigned to him was to organize the timely and full implementation of the State Program of Health Care Reform, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It is known that the State Program provides for the reorganization of the primary health care system of Uzbekistan in a short period of time, the creation of a system of high-quality and free emergency care based on a completely new idea, the state budget allocated for medicine. A number of other important measures were planned to increase the efficiency of education, further strengthen the health of mothers and children. The experience and hard work of DA Asadov play a significant role in the successful implementation of these responsible tasks.

            DA Asadov defended his PhD in 1968 and his doctoral dissertation in 1993, in 1997 he was awarded the title of professor. DA Asadov conducts practical, organizational, scientific research in the areas of health care reform in the Republic of Uzbekistan, protection of motherhood and childhood, development of medical infrastructure in the regions. Recognizing his scientific and practical potential as well as his international experience, the World Health Organization invited him to its 1991-1997 conferences as a consultant. In 2002 and 2003, he actively participated and delivered speeches at the 55th and 56th Assemblies of this prestigious organization as the head of the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, DAAsadov has worked in various fields of Uzbek medicine in the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Denmark, Singapore, Turkey, Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand and more than 20 countries. , as well as scientific reports on reforms in the health care system.
