Fields of Collaboration between the Department of Public Health and Healthcare Management of CPDMRC and Higher Medical Educational Institutions

The Department of Public Health and Healthcare Management at the Center for Professional Development of Medical Workers (CPDMRC) has established systematic cooperation with regional healthcare authorities and higher medical educational institutions aimed at enhancing the continuous professional education of healthcare administrators.

On April 28, 2026, the Center for Professional Development of Medical Workers hosted Dr. Liliya Muslimkyzy (PhD), Dean of the Graduate School of Postgraduate Education at Alikhan Bokeikhan University—a multidisciplinary, non-governmental, and non-profit educational institution in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The visit focused on establishing formal cooperation between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the aforementioned university.

During the negotiations held at the Department of Public Health and Healthcare Management, led by Professor D.A. Asadov and Associate Professor V.A. Khakimov, the following key issues were addressed:

- Definition of priority areas for cooperation between the CPDMRC under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Alikhan Bokeikhan University (Semey, Republic of Kazakhstan);

- Deliberation on the draft Agreement of Cooperation;

- Analysis of the mechanisms for the participation of the CPDMRC’s Department of Public Health and Healthcare Management in the implementation of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Alikhan Bokeikhan University.

Subsequently, a strategic review of the partnership directions was conducted under the chairmanship of the Director of the CPDMRC, Professor Kh.A. Akilov. The following outcomes were achieved:

1. The final text of the Cooperation Agreement was developed and formally approved;

2. It was determined that in May–June of the current year, a pilot educational phase will be launched. Faculty members from the CPDMRC’s Department of Public Health and Healthcare Management will deliver a module on "Healthcare Management and Public Health" in a hybrid format for the inaugural cohort of Master’s students at Alikhan Bokeikhan University specializing in 7M04109 – Business Administration in Healthcare (MBA);

3. Provisions for conducting joint scientific research, publishing academic findings, and implementing research results into clinical and administrative practice were reviewed.

 

Partner Institutional Profile:

Alikhan Bokeikhan University, established in 1998, is a multidisciplinary non-governmental and non-profit educational institution. The university offers over 50 academic programs across Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD levels.

The institution is a signatory to the Magna Charta Universitatum (since 2010, Bologna, Italy) and a member of the Association of Asian Universities (since 2012) and the Association of Economic Universities of South and Eastern Europe and the Black Sea Region (ASECU, since 2019). The university has entered into more than 100 international partnership agreements to facilitate student and faculty mobility, joint educational curricula, and collaborative research projects.
