On April 29, 2026, a regular meeting of the Academic Council was organized and held at a high level at the Center for the Development of Professional Qualifications of Medical Workers. The meeting was opened with an introductory speech by the Director of the Center, Professor Kh.A. Akilov. In his remarks, he warmly congratulated the council members on the upcoming May 9 — Day of Remembrance and Honor, highlighting the courage and heroism of those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and peace of the Motherland, and emphasizing that honoring their memory is a sacred duty of every generation.
The meeting proceeded in accordance with the approved agenda. First, a report prepared by the Department of Spirituality and Enlightenment titled “The Motherland Never Forgets Its Devoted Sons,” dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Honor, was presented. The report extensively covered the importance of historical memory, honoring the bravery of ancestors, and fostering patriotism among the younger generation.
Next, Professor G.T. Iskandarova, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Prevention, presented a report on the educational, methodological, scientific, and clinical activities carried out at the faculty. The report provided detailed information on achievements in improving the quality of education, advancing scientific research, and enhancing practical medical services, as well as outlining future priorities.
The following agenda item was the report of the Faculty of Management, Social and Primary Health Care, delivered by its Dean, Professor B.A. Magrupov. In his speech, he emphasized ongoing reforms, the introduction of modern approaches into the educational process, and efforts to train qualified specialists for the healthcare system.
Another important item on the agenda was the activity of the Center’s clinical base. A report was presented by the Deputy Director for Medical Affairs, S.R. Matkarimov. The report addressed the quality of medical services provided, the conditions created for patients, and the outcomes of implementing advanced treatment methods.
In addition, various organizational matters were considered during the meeting. These included discussions on competitions for positions and academic titles, proposed changes to the composition of the Academic Council, and the approval of a number of methodological documents.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a group of professors and teachers who had made significant contributions to the development of the Center and achieved notable success in the field of medicine through many years of dedicated service were ceremonially honored. They were awarded badges of distinction, and their professional achievements were duly recognized. This recognition serves not only as an appreciation of their work but also as an example and inspiration for young specialists.
