History of the Department of Family Medicine with a course of occupational diseases
In pursuance of the order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 379 dated July 31, 2006 “On approval of the directions and main procedures for the further development of the system of continuous professional education of primary healthcare workers,” a department for advanced training of general practitioners was organized. The head of the department, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Sh.Z. Kasimov was elected and headed the department until 2014. 2014 -2021 Doctor of Medical Sciences M.I. Rasulova headed the department.
In 2015, by decision of the Academic Council, the course “Occupational Diseases” was added to the department, and in 2017, the department of training GPs was merged with the department of advanced training of general practitioners. According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan UP-6110 dated November 12, 2020 “On measures to introduce completely new mechanisms in the activities of primary healthcare institutions and further increase the effectiveness of ongoing reforms in the healthcare system,” the specialty of a general practitioner was renamed to a family doctor and in medical educational institutions, curricula were brought into line for the training of family doctors. From the 2021-2022 academic year, the Department of Family Medicine with a course of occupational diseases was headed by Professor M.Z. Zokhidova. From the 2023 academic year, the Department of Family Medicine with the course of occupational diseases is headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences. Khalimbetov G.S.
The department is located at the city family clinic No. 48. The department is equipped with the necessary technical means to improve practical skills and improve the theoretical knowledge of family doctors. In 1998 he graduated from the 2nd Tashkent Medical Institute, Faculty of Medicine.
From 1998-2001 he worked as a junior researcher in the department of biochemistry of the Research Institute of Pediatrics of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
From 2001-2003 he completed clinical residency at the Research Institute of Pediatrics, specializing in Neonatology. In 2006, he defended his thesis on the topic “Clinical and biochemical characteristics of CHB in children depending on the haptoglobin phenotype” in the specialty of Pediatrics and Biochemistry.
From 2006 to 2009 he worked as a senior lecturer at the Department of Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics of Tashkent Institute of Ultrasound.
From 2009 to 2011, he completed his doctoral studies at the Department of Child Neurology named after. Sh.Sh. Shamansurov Tashkent Institute for Advanced Training of Physicians. In 2018, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Consequences of perinatal damage to the nervous system in children, clinical and biochemical parallels” (14.00.13, 14.00.25).
Total work experience - 24 years, scientific and pedagogical experience - 22 years. Since 2018, dean of clinical residency at Tashkent Institute of Higher Institutions. Since 2023, Doctor of Medical Sciences Khalimbetov G.S. heads the department of family medicine with the course of prof. diseases.

2020 2023 - Head of the Department of Family Medicine with a course of occupational diseases at the Center for the Development of Professional Qualifications of Medical Workers. Professor M.Z. Zakhidova received her Doctor of Science degree in 1999. In 2007 he received the title of professor. Author of more than 350 scientific papers. Together with the staff of the Department, he published more than 50 monographs, teaching aids on family medicine: Cardiology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Neurology, Adolescent health, Dermatology and others. UzR SSV reports to the chief specialist in family medical practice. In 2019, he received the title “Excellent Student of the SSV UZR”, since 2011 he has been a member of the specialized certification commission of the SSV UZR. Member of the working groups for the development of the Aral Sea region under the Innovation Ministry since 2021, WHO “Health Strategy-2030” and the SNV of Uzbekistan and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

PhD Nurmukhamedova Rokhatoy Abdisharipovna
Graduated from the First Tashkent State Medical Institute in 1983. She completed an internship at the Tashkent Regional Hospital. After graduation, he worked as a therapist at the 1st family clinic in Almalyk.
In 1987 - 1989 he studied in clinical residency at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases of Tashkent State Medical Institute-1,
in 1992 - 1993 - in graduate school of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases of Tashkent State Medical Institute-1.
In 1994, he defended his PhD thesis on the topic “The influence of certain immunomodulatory drugs on the functional and metabolic parameters of the liver in patients with chronic hepatitis.”
From 1994 to 1996 she worked as an assistant at the Department of Hospital Therapy.
From 1996 to 2003 she worked as an assistant at the department of general practitioners.
From 2003 to 2006 she worked as an assistant professor at the same department. In 2006, she received the title of associate professor, at the same department of Tashkent State Medical Institute-1.
In 2007-2024, she held the position of associate professor at the Department of Advanced Training for GPs at the Tashkent Institute for Advanced Medical Studies. Currently, the Center for Advanced Training of Medical Workers in the 2021-2024 academic year, Associate Nurmukhamedova Rokhatoy Abdusharipovna, is the author of 100 scientific papers, 28 methodological recommendations, 14 training programs and 9 rationalization proposals.
Was awarded “Excellence in Healthcare” twice: 2009 and 2011.

Author of 134 scientific papers, 20 teaching aids, 24 educational and work programs, 2 rationalization proposals and 1 scientific patent for an invention. In 2021, he was awarded the “30th Anniversary of Uzbekistan” badge. Member of the working group on the implementation of the Strategy for Achieving Gender Equality in the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030 by the Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Gender Equality and the United Nations Aholishun Fund (UNFPA). Master trainer in international UN organizations (UNFPA, UNICEF) in training interpersonal communication skills in the vaccination process, reproductive health issues, gender equality and training health workers in the skills of providing services to victims of gender-based violence.
