Harmony of Recognition, Remembrance, and Science at the Academic Council

On May 20, 2026, the regular meeting of the Academic Council was held at the Center for Professional Development of Medical Workers. The meeting was opened by the Director of the Center, Professor Xabibulla Ataullayevich Akilov, who in his speech particularly emphasized the ongoing efforts aimed at developing science, education, and innovation activities at the Center, supporting young scientists, and further strengthening scientific potential.

During the Academic Council meeting, the Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Hero of Uzbekistan Komilov Xolidjon Maxamadjanovich was awarded the “Eng ibratli oila” badge for his many years of dedicated service in the healthcare system, his significant contribution to medical science, and his role in educating young specialists. The award was ceremonially presented by the Deputy Minister of Health E.E. Basitxanova. The award ceremony was warmly welcomed by the participants of the meeting, who expressed sincere respect and admiration for the distinguished professor.

Afterwards, in connection with May 9 — the Day of Remembrance and Honor, the Academic Secretary of the Academic Council, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Gulyamova Maktuba Kamalovna delivered a poetic presentation dedicated to the memory of deceased mentors who had made a worthy contribution to the development of the Center and the medical field and who had worked devotedly at the institution for many years.

According to the agenda, the first issue discussed was the report presented by the Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs and Innovations Nasirova Umida Feruzovna on the implementation of the annual scientific work plan and the scientific and innovative activities planned for the coming year. The report highlighted scientific research, innovative projects, international cooperation, and ongoing efforts to further enhance the scientific capacity of the Center.

This was followed by the annual report of the Department for Monitoring and Quality Assessment of Continuous Professional Education, presented by the Head of the Department, Associate Professor Salixodjayeva Rixsi Kamilovna. The report provided information on improving the quality of education, monitoring educational processes, enhancing the system for assessing learners’ knowledge, and implementing modern educational technologies.

The next item on the agenda was the report of the Specialized Council, presented by the Council’s Academic Secretary, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Ubaydullayeva Naima Nabixanovna. The report included detailed information on dissertation defenses, the effectiveness of the Academic Council’s activities, and work carried out with researchers applying for academic degrees.

In addition, the Dean of Clinical Residency, Doctor of Medical Sciences Primov Farhod Sharifjanovich delivered a report on activities aimed at increasing the scientific, spiritual, educational, and social engagement of young people, supporting them, and involving them broadly in various projects and events.

At the conclusion of the meeting, various additional issues were discussed, and proposals and recommendations were made regarding the further development of the Center’s activities and the improvement of the effectiveness of scientific and educational processes. It was especially emphasized that continuing systematic and effective work in all areas remains an important priority.
